NEWS: GOTOTWIN Highlights Role of Digital Twins in Renewable Energy at Energetika 2026

The GOTOTWIN project was represented at the Energetika 2026 conference, held on Zlatibor, Serbia. This well-established event, now in its 41-st edition, was co-organized by the Association of Power Engineers of Serbia and Electric Power of Serbia. The conference took place from April 15 to April 18 and featured a rich program including four panel sessions, two roundtable discussions, and the presentation of around 140 scientific and professional papers.

On behalf of the GOTOTWIN project, Čedomir Zeljković from the University of Banja Luka presented the paper titled “Towards a Simulation Module for Application in Digital Twins of Photovoltaic Systems”, co-authored with colleagues from Banja Luka, Zagreb, and Skopje. The work highlights the growing importance of digitalization in facilitating the integration of renewable energy sources, with a particular focus on the concept of digital twins.

The presentation also showcased the current progress in the development of a dedicated simulation module designed for analyzing and optimizing the operation of photovoltaic systems. Participation in this conference provided an excellent opportunity to share project results, exchange ideas with leading experts in the field, and further strengthen regional collaboration in advancing modern energy solutions.
